EVERETT — Local blind rapper and fugitive Wayne Frisby was back in jail Friday after being on the lam for more than a week. The circumstances of his arrest were not clear Friday.
Frisby, aka Mac Wayne, was supposed to be sentenced Jan. 21 for a pair of gun and drug charges. He failed to show up and Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Joseph Wilson signed a warrant for his arrest. Frisby is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday. Wilson’s warrant prohibits Frisby from posting bail.
The convicted felon faces more than year in prison for possessing a handgun and heroin.
He made headlines a few years ago when a woman accused him of chopping off part of her hair during a robbery. Frisby fled town and then released a single, taunting cops to catch him.
He beat the robbery charge when the woman recanted her story. He served a couple of months for drug possession. He ran afoul of the law again last year when he was found with a .40-caliber Glock in downtown Everett. A month later Tulalip Tribal Police officers found him in the casino parking lot. He was carrying heroin and brass knuckles.
