Adrienne Fraley-Monllas, Loren Simmonds, Jerry Smith and Martin Krienke will lead the Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Brier city councils for the rest of the year.
The Edmonds Council chose Fraley-Monillas as council president in early January. The council president sets the agenda for all council meetings and presides over council meetings when the mayor is absent. The Council re-elected Council President Pro-Tem Kristiana Johnson to fill in if the president is absent.
The Lynnwood Council has re-elected Simmonds as council president and elected Councilman Ian Cotton as vice president. Simmonds is in his 16th year on the council, Cotton in his second.
In Mountlake Terrace’s council-manager form of government, Smith continues to preside over council meetings as mayor. Councilwoman Laura Sonmore continues as mayor pro-tem.
In Brier, the City Council chose Councilman Martin Krienke to continue as mayor pro-tem to preside over the council if Mayor Bob Colinas is absent.
