As the press release says, it’s one red hot beer.
Mukilteo’s Diamond Knot Craft Brewing released Slane’s Irish-style Red Ale this past weekend at its brewpub’s in Mukilteo and Mountlake Terrace. Bottles will also be on shelves of local stores and on tap at select restaurants and brewpubs around the Puget Sound, the brewery announced in a press release.
Here’s a press release:
MUKILTEO, WA – Diamond Knot Craft Brewing released its popular Slane’s Irish Style Red to its thirsty followers this weekend. And this brew is red hot. Every year production is increased and every year the beer sells out, confirming what the Diamond Knot crew already knows: this is one hell of a great red.
“This seasonal definitely has its cult following, “ said Sherry Jennings, director of sales and marketing at Diamond Knot. “It’s already on the shelves at local retailers and on tap in the region; and it was released yesterday. Even our wholesale customers are excited to get it flowing. Maybe it’s just spring fever and the promise of longer days ahead, but whatever it is, this beer makes us all smile.”
Slane’s will keep smiles going all spring long with its sweetish, caramelly aroma that gives way to a bold, distinctly malty flavor with a smooth creamy finish.
Here are the stats:
Availability: February – April
Style: Red Ale

Malts: 2-row Pale, Flaked Barley, Munich Malt, Chocolate Malt, Caramel Malt

Hops: Galena, Willamette
ABV: 5.8%,
IBU: 30
Slane’s Irish-Style Red, named after a founder’s uncle, will enjoy distribution throughout Washington, as well as British Columbia and 11 other states through Odom Corp., General Distributing, Total Wine &More and Modern Malt.
According to Pat Ringe, Diamond Knot’s V.P. of Brewing Ops, Slane’s pairs well with chicken, seafood, burgers, tangy cheese and poached pears
