EVERETT — Detectives continue to search for a man who dropped off property on Nov. 4 that was later discovered to be stolen.
The man, who said his name is Brian, is not believed to be involved in any crime and is not a suspect in the theft.
He said he had obtained the property from an employee at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration several years ago, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. The man provided few other details.
Police discovered the property was stolen while processing it.
Everett detectives would like to speak to the man to continue their investigation.
They released a sketch of him to aid in their search.
The man said that he is a former U.S. Marine and lives in the Everett area with his wife.
He is white and in his late 30s to early 40s. He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and roughly 180 pounds. He has brown hair, which he wears longer in the back and shorter in the front.
