PUD accepting applications for solar projects
Snohomish County Public Utility District is seeking applications from local organizations for solar energy demonstration projects for installation on new or existing buildings in the utility’s service area. The projects are made possible through the PUD’s Planet Power program, a voluntary, customer-funded green energy initiative. Proposals for PUD funding are due on March 16. Snohomish County sees increase in hotel occupancy, rates in 2014
According to the Smith Travel Research report for Dec. 2014, Snohomish County hotels saw a healthy increase in all measurements over 2013. Year-to-date, the county was up 4.3 percent in occupancy, 6.8 percent in average daily rate, and 11.3 percent in revenue per available room.
Credit union to award $8,000 in scholarships
NW Plus CU, with branches in Snohomish and Skagit Counties, will award $8,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and post-secondary students in June 2015.
