Regarding the Wednesday article, “Attempted luring reported on Camano”: A man offers to give a 13-year-old boy a ride to school; it is immediately called luring. The police are called, anyone with information is asked to dial 911 to help identify this person that would commit such a heinous act. What a sad sick society we are; why is it immediately assumed this person is a sexual predator? Is it inconceivable that this person who offered a boy a ride to school cold have possibly just wanted to help?
I see old ladies, some not so old, from time to time walking along the road carrying bags of groceries, I want to help, I want to offer them a ride, but I don’t dare, due to the way our society has become. We are not even allowed to help one another anymore, how sad.
