Wednesday’s highlights on TV include:
Believe it or not, “Survivor” is entering its 30th season. This one — “Survivor: Worlds Apart” — has 18 new castaways being divided by their occupations (White Collar, Blue Collar, No Collar). It debuts just before a new season of “The Amazing Race.” 8 p.m., CBS
On “The Mysteries of Laura,” Debra Messing is reunited with her old “Will &Grace” bestie, Eric McCormack, who drops by for a guest stint. He plays Laura’s ex-fiance — and a suspect in her latest murder case. 8 p.m., NBC
On “The Goldbergs,” Barry tries to pull a Ferris Bueller, with predictably poor results. 8:30 p.m., ABC
Much of Wednesday’s episode of “Modern Family” was shot on iPhones, iPads and MacBooks, which is probably where a lot of it will be watched. 9 p.m., ABC
