EVERETT — A teenager suspected of murdering a disabled man in California in December has been arrested in Everett.
Khalil Phanor, 18 was picked up Thursday night inside an Everett apartment, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail, where he’ll await extradition back to California.
He faces a murder charge there for killing a man, 36, in Berkeley. The deadly shooting allegedly happened during a robbery. A second man also has been charged in connection with the homicide.
Phanor was captured by the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force, Snohomish Regional Drug and Gang Task Force, Everett Police Department’s Pro-Act Team, and the FBI’s Seattle Safe Streets Task Force.
