How they got to regionals: Arlington lost to Glacier Peak 63-55 in the 3A Northwest District semifinals, but rebounded with a convincing win over Stanwood and an overtime victory over Edmonds-Woodway to advance to regionals with the third and final seed from its district. Shadle Park defeated Mount Spokane 43-34 to earn the second seed from its bi-district tournament.

Breakdown: Arlington may have to travel across the state, but the Eagles, who are shooting for their third straight appearance in the Tacoma Dome, appear to be the favorites. Shadle Park got off to a miserable start, this season, losing 12 of its first 14 games. But the Highlanders have played better basketball of late, going 5-4 down the stretch to earn a regional berth.
