MARYSVILLE — Police in Marysville were investigating the death of a woman who was struck by a train Tuesday night.
Police were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. on the Burlington Northern tracks in the 9200 block of State Avenue.
Members of the police department’s Collision Investigation Team were working into the morning. The investigation closed 88th Street to through traffic where the train was stopped.
“Preliminarily it appears this was a suicide,” Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said in a press release late Tuesday night.
The age and hometown of the woman were not immediately available.
