UNION GAP — Police in the central Washington town of Union Gap say a 10-year-old boy has died after suffering a gunshot wound.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that police were called to an address early Sunday morning. The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities released little information, including the victim’s identity, but said the shooting is not believed to be gang-related. The investigation is continuing.
