DES MOINES, Iowa — Northern Iowa men’s basketball coach Ben Jacobson has agreed to stay with the Panthers for another decade.
Northern Iowa spokesman Colin McDonough said Jacobson and the school have agreed to a contract extension through 2024-25.
McDonough said further details on Jacobson’s new contract would be available later this week.
Jacobson has been at Northern Iowa for nine seasons. He led the Panthers to a school-record 31 wins and the Missouri Valley Conference tournament title this past season.
Jacobson is 197-104 with the Panthers, who have finished among the top three in the MVC in five of the past six years.
