LYNNWOOD — Behind a five-goal night by Gavin Hardwick, Meadowdale earned its first win of the spring with a decisive of Garfield on Tuesday.
Hardwick, an Edmonds-Woodway senior, finished the night with a season-high six points that included an assist to drive the Mavericks’ offense and remove the monkey from their backs. The midfielder now has 12 points (10g, 2a) in three games this season.
Meadowdale freshman Gavin Armstrong had two goals and four assists, junior Damon Johnson chipped in four goals and Edmonds-Woodway junior Thomas Kobuke added two goals and three assists.
