Boys lacrosse: Meadowdale 15, Redmond 4

LYNNWOOD — Gavin Hardwick delivered a season- high seven points as Meadowdale broke a 3–3 tie in the first with seven unanswered second-quarter goals on the way to a 15–4 boys high school lacrosse win over Redmond on Monday at Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.

With a 10–3 lead at the half, Meadowdale went on the to play shut-out lacrosse for another quarter behind its goaltender Conner Daniel, while putting up three more goals in the third then two in the final quarter or its second win of the spring.

Hardwick, along with Thomas Kobuke, both of Edmonds Woodway, finished the night for Meadowdale with four goals each to all scorers. Hardwick, who has 18 points (13g, 5a) in four games this season, also had an assist. Kobuke finished with four points, all on goals.

Jonathan Walzer led the defensive effort for Meadowdale with a goal and 11 ground balls, while Daniel had three saves on the night, and backup netminder Xavier Belcher had a single save.

The Mustangs, with just 12 on their roster, had three goals from Bellevue Christian junior Kellen Baker. Redmond sophomore Craig Decker had a goal and an assist along with 19 ground balls.
