Here’s one word to sum up what’s happening in the weeks to come:

It’s the season to dig into some super deals at the dozens of special sales offered by garden clubs, schools, community groups, churches and local plant foundations.
Many sales are just in time for Mother’s Day. Those that come after are just in time for Father’s Day. Of course, any day is a good day to spend time in the garden.

Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2, WSU Snohomish County Extension, McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett. More than 5,000 tomatoes starts, 4,000 herb and vegetable starts, perennials, native plants, trees, shrubs, ground covers, specialty perennials, living garden art.
