Fans eager for a glimpse of the 2015 University of Washington football team will have their chance on Saturday when the Huskies host their Spring Preview and Fan Fest at Husky Stadium.
The event, which is free to the public, is the final of 15 spring practices for the team and includes the opportunity to meet with players and coaches.
The Fan Fest begins at 9 a.m. and will be held at the stadium’s east practice field. Among other activities, fans will have the chance to be timed in a 40-yard dash, take agility tests and try on UW football gear.
Fans will also have the opportunity to speak with officials from the team’s ticket office about season ticket packages, and will have the chance to visit their actual seat locations.
The team practice, which starts at noon and continues to 2 p.m., includes a scrimmage and will be a chance for spectators to evaluate the quarterback battle between junior Jeff Lindquist, redshirt freshman K.J. Carta-Samuels and incoming freshman Jake Browning. The three are bidding to replace 2014 starter Cyler Miles, a junior who took a leave of absence during spring practices and whose future with the team is unclear.
The practice will also be televised live on the Pac-12 Network.
The Huskies open their 2015 season on Sept. 4 at Boise State, where UW head coach Chris Petersen coached before being hired at Washington in December of 2013.
