The Seahawks signed two more players who participated in their recent rookie minicamp, adding fullback Brandon Cottom from Pudue and linebacker Tyrell Adams from West Georgia.
Cottom was a little-used big running back for the Boilermakers, but projects as a fullback at the next level. He ran a 4.62-second 40-yard dash at Purdue’s pro day, an impressive number for a 262-pound fullback. Adams led West Georgia in tackles each of the past two seasons, earning first-team All-Gulf South Conference honors.
The Seahawks waived guard Nate Isles and terminated the veteran contract of guard C.J. Davis.
You’ll probably notice that, for now at least, the list of signed players from rookie minicamp still doesn’t include former UW receiver Kasen Williams, who had a strong showing and, according to Pete Carroll was somebody the Seahawks might want to bring back for a longer look.
