Man arrested, accused of pimping and raping 14-year-old girl

EVERETT — An Everett man accused of pimping and raping a 14-year-old girl has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrested the man Thursday.

The suspect, 27, is accused of taking the girl and a friend of the girl to a hotel in south Snohomish County in March of 2013. There, he allegedly took their pictures while they wore lingerie and other provocative clothing and posed in sexually suggestive manners.

Those photos were incorporated into a classified ad for escort services published through backpage.com, according to a police report. The ad claimed the girls were 19.

The girl who was 14 at the time only knew the suspect by his street name, “J.” She was able to identify his photo from among a group of head shots.

She said that she performed acts of prostitution at least five times for him and they split the money. She said her friend, who was 15 at the time, did the same. Detectives have been unable to locate the other teen after making initial contact with her.

The 14-year-old girl told police that the suspect raped her twice at a hotel. In both instances, she said she tried to stop him.

The suspect was arrested for investigation of child rape and promoting commercial sex abuse of a minor.
