WHITE SALMON — Junior midfielder Lochlan Roberts’ goal in the second minute helped South Whidbey defeat Columbia (White Salmon) in a 1A State Tournament match on Wednesday night.
Junior midfielder Lucas Leiberman scored in the 30th minute assisted by senior forward Kai DaRosa, senior midfielder Jeff Meier scored via penalty kick in the second half.
Junior varsity call-up Max Casse added another goal in the 70th minute with help from junior forward Lucas Fulton-Bevers.
Senior goalkeeper Charley Stelling contributed the shutout on goal for South Whidbey.
The Falcons’ next opponent is Bellevue Christian on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the state tournament quarterfinals.
