SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah head softball coach Amy Hogue announced last week that Cascade High School outfielder Aubrey Peterson has committed to play for the Utes next season.
Peterson lettered in softball all four years at Cascade. She also played for the Washington Lady Hawks traveling team.
“Aubrey is a true outfielder who will be looking to help us replace the seniors we graduated,” Hogue said on the school’s website.
Utah is coming off a 36-19 season. The Utes placed fourth in the Pac-12 (12-11) and earned the program’s first NCAA Regional Tournament berth since 2006. The Utes finished second in the Knoxville Regional, going 2-2 in the double-elimination tournament.
