LACEY – Edmonds-Woodway built an early lead, but couldn’t stop three-time defending state champion Kamiakin. The Braves scored six runs in the third inning and five in the fourth to defeat the Warriors 13-3 in a six-inning 3A state quarterfinal game Friday afternoon at the Regional Athletic Complex.
Kendra Cooper had two RBI to lead the Warriors, who faced Lake Washington Friday night in a state loser-out game.
