LACEY – Meadowdale kept its season alive with a 10-0 victory over Central Kitsap in a six-inning loser-out game in the 3A state tournament consolation bracket.
The Mavericks, who hit seven home runs in their first three games of the state tournament on Friday, added two more to their total with Emma Helm and Samantha Gregoryk both tallying homers.
Gregoryk batted 3-for-3 in the game with three runs scored, Helm was 2-for-3 and Hailey Costello went 2-for-4 for Meadowdale (23-4), which faces Kamiakin at 11 a.m. in a loser-out game. The winner of that contest will play the winner of Kelso-Prairie in the third/fourth-place game at 1:30 p.m.
