PORTLAND, Ore. — Police in Portland, Oregon, say an Aberdeen man has been cited for careless driving with an accident in the wake of a March 7 multi-vehicle traffic crash on I-5 that fatally injured a 7-year-old Washington state girl.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says 24-year-old Bennett Rowe was cited last week after the Multnomah County district attorney’s office reviewed the case and found no criminal wrongdoing.
Rowe was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban in the crash, which involved four other vehicles.
Simpson says 7-year-old Arianna Lundin of Cathlamet, Washington, was in a different vehicle. She died a few days after the crash.
Several other people were injured.
