SEATTLE — A Mill Creek businessman is facing federal charges for allegedly importing phony goods, including illegal drug paraphernalia.
Jae Seon Yoon, 55, was arrested Wednesday after a multi-year investigation into his numerous businesses. The probe was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security division.
Court documents say Yoon imported glass bongs from China through Canada. The shipments were labeled as vases, laboratory glassware and oil and vinegar glass bottles, according to court documents.
Customs and Board Protection officers agents also determined that Yoon was importing e-cigarette chargers with counterfeit labels. They also allege that Yoon was putting counterfeit Seahawks and other NFL labels on products.
Yoon was charged by complaint with importation of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in counterfeit goods.
