Trinity Lutheran hires director of communications
Trinity Lutheran College has welcomed Kandace Barnes as the college’s new director of communications and marketing. Barnes comes to Trinity with more than 18 years of experience in the field. Her background in higher education marketing and communications includes positions at both the University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University. In addition, she’s spent over a decade in the for-profit sector.
Sky Valley Food banks receives grants for food backpack program
Sky Valley Food Bank was the recipient of two grants in support of its weekend emergency food backpack program. Funds were received from the Human Services Endowment and from the Coastal Community Bank Employee Giving Fund. These grants will allow the organization to continue and expand efforts to feed hungry children in the community during the 2015-2016 school year.
Chamber to welcome new businesses at Seattle Premium Outlets
The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremonies July 14 for the new Tommy Hilfiger Kids and the new Dress Barn at the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip. The Tommy Hilfiger Kids event will be at 10 a.m. at Suite 700. The Dress Barn event will at 11 a.m. at Suite 414.

Alaska USA Federal Credit Union now allows members access to Apple Pay, a new category of service that offers an easy, secure, and private way to pay. KuKuRuZa brings back popcorn flavors
KuKuRuZa Gourmet Popcorn, which has a location at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, is bringing back two popular popcorn flavors, Sriracha and a revamped Natural Mint Chocolate Chip. Both seasonal specialties will be made with only natural ingredients and are available at KuKuRuZa stores and online throughout the month of July.
