Candela adds lighting designer in Lynnwood
Candela, a Stantec Company, has announced that Megan Sudol has joined the firm as a lighting designer in its Lynnwood lighting design practice. With more than two years of industry experience, the Seattle resident will assist principals in developing lighting design for client projects, producing project documentation, and reviewing code and quality assurance compliance for projects.
Qualcomm to assist Darrington/Arlington in competition
Qualcomm Inc. will serve as a strategic advisor to Darrington/Arlington as part of the communities’ first round victory in the America’s Best Communities competition. Darrington/Arlington, will be awarded $35,000 in prize money to build and implement a Community Revitalization Plan, and Qualcomm plans to contribute an additional $15,000 to bring the community’s total winnings to $50,000.
Chamber to welcome Pediatric Services in Marysville
The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Pediatric Services of America Healthcare at 4:30 p.m. on July 16 at 1212 2nd St., Suite A, Marysville. Pediatric Services of America has more than 60 locations serving 17 states. It serves medically fragile children and adults.
Commercial drivers need to prove U.S. citizenship
Anyone seeking a commercial driver license or commercial learner permit in Washington will be required starting Sept. 1 to prove they are a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident. Commercial drivers are not required to present this proof until their next license renewal or other transaction that requires a change to their record.
Ethan Allen to close Tukwila store, keep Lynnwood store open
Ethan Allen announced that it will be closing its Design Center in Tukwila this fall. Business will instead be consolidated to the company’s locations in Lynnwood and Bellevue. The company is also actively pursuing a new location in the downtown Seattle area. Company CEO Farooq Kathwari said the company is focused on ensuring the correct location for its design centers.
