SNOHOMISH — A man armed with a sword was threatening people on Three Lakes Road east of Snohomish on Saturday afternoon.
He barricaded himself in a trailer by the time deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office arrived.
The state’s Department of Corrections had issued an arrest warrant for the man.
“Apparently, he didn’t want to go back to jail,” said Shari Ireton, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were able to arrest the man without a problem, she said.
No one was injured.
