A local nonprofit is hosting its third annual Concert in the Garden fundraiser Saturday at Winding Path Gardens in Arlington, 15530 Highway 9. The concert and dinner benefit Vision for a Cure, founded by Jodi Carter of Lake Stevens and brother Ryan Thomason to support research on Usher Syndrome, the leading cause of deaf-blindness in the United States. Carter and Thomason have the disease, which strips away vision and hearing over time. Proceeds from the concert and dinner go toward research being done at the University of Oregon to find a cure for Usher Syndrome. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased online at www.visionforacure.com.
