Rock the Boat: The bands Mudhoney, Fauna Shade and Duke Evers will play for this small festival, sponsored by the Everett Music Initiative and Scuttlebutt Brewing, beginning at 5 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Port of Everett.

Summer Meltdown Festival: Aug. 6 through 9, at Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater (AKA Darrington’s bluegrass park). Performers include STS9, Iration, Tycho, Greensky Bluegrass, Galactic, Sol, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Fruition, Flowmotion and Slow Magic.
