SEATTLE — Seattle police are reviewing tips and surveillance video as they search for the person who shot and killed a community leader in the Chinatown International District.
Police said they were called to the area just before 3 a.m. Thursday after shooting was reported. Officers found a wounded man inside a car with windows that had been shot out.
Police do not believe the 59-year-old Chin was the intended target of the shooter. Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole said they’ll work “tirelessly to bring his killer to justice.”
A candlelight memorial service for Chin will be held at 9 p.m. Sunday at Hing Hay Park, 423 Maynard Ave S. The memorial is open to the public.
