Single-origin coffee and chocolate have been en vogue for a long time.
So Choctál wondered: “Why not ice cream?”
The Pasadena, California-based company did something about that, producing rich, single-origin chocolate and vanilla ice creams that are amazing, especially when it’s 80 degrees outside and it’s National Ice Cream Month.
Each chocolate or vanilla ice cream represents a region, from Mexico to Madagascar, of the world in which a particular cacao or vanilla is grown. The ice creams are decadent and rich, and each one hits your tastebuds in a different spot. There’s Dominican chocolate with undertones of mocha and nuances of licorice, nutmeg and cloves, or Papua New Guinea vanilla with notes of cherry.
