Candidates competing for the Snohomish County executive’s job have been invited to a forum scheduled Tuesday by the local chapter of the NAACP.
The event is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. as part of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s monthly general membership meeting. The venue is the Snohomish County PUD building at 2320 California St., Everett.
Executive John Lovick faces four primary challengers: Dave Somers, Norm Nunnally, James Robert Deal and Robert Sutherland.
Ballots for the primary election must be mailed or placed in a ballot drop box no later than 8 p.m. Aug. 4.
The two candidates who receive the most votes will compete in the Nov. 3 general election.
