Marysville Tulalip chamber to publish directory

The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for its first Chamber Directory for 2015-16. You do not have to be a chamber member to place an ad in this inaugural issue but members receive discounted rates. Artists, photographers and graphic designers may also enter a cover art contest. Former Intermec VP joins Livefyre

Dave Scott, former vice president of Global Marketing and Strategy at Intermec in Everett, has been named first chief marketing officer of Livefyre, a real-time content marketing and engagement platform with offices in San Francisco, New York, London and Sydney. At Intermec, he was responsible for global marketing strategy and directed a team of 165 employees across 40 countries.

Submit 10-second showing ‘moves’ to Community Transit

Community Transit is sponsoring a Moves Moment video contest on Facebook as part of its Nobody Moves Like Transit advertising campaign. Through Aug. 20, members of the public may submit their own 10-second video showing their moves on a bus or at a bus stop or transit center. Detailed information and contest rules are available on Community Transit’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/communitytransit.

EdCC receives grant to support students from developing countries

Edmonds Community College will receive a grant to support students from developing countries to study for a year in Washington state. The $1.8 million is from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs for the Community College Initiative Program. About 270 students from all over the world have benefitted from the program.
