Archery

• Edmonds Parks and Recreation is offering an Introduction to Outdoor Archery on Aug. 10-11. Sessions are 10 a.m. to noon or 12:30-2:30 p.m. The camp is for boys and girls ages 12-14. The cost is $100. For more information, call 425-771-0230 or visit www.reczone.org.

Baseball/Softball

• Tryouts for Laces Baseball’s select teams are scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates: today (ages 13 to 15), July 29 (16 to 18), Aug. 11 (13-14), Aug. 12 (15-16) and Aug. 13 (17-18). All the tryouts are at Lincoln Field in north Everett (2500 Rockefeller Street). For more information, contact Levi Lacey at 425-350-2232.

• Tryouts for the Seattle Tides Baseball Club’s 16-U and 18-U teams are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at Kamiak High School. For more information, visit www.seattletides.org.

• The STARs Adult Softball Leagues begin play Aug. 2 in Monroe. Games are on Sundays at Sky River Park. The team fees are $395 for the men’s league and $295 for the coed league. For more information, call 360-794-6467.

Basketball

• The 18th annual Joe Richer Junior Golf Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 1 at Legion Memorial Golf Course. The format is a four-person scramble. Proceeds benefit the Joe Richer Junior Golf Club. For more information, contact Rex Fullerton at 425-259-4653, extension 3.

Hockey

• Everett Youth Hockey is offering a Try Hockey for Free Day at 2:15 p.m. on Aug. 8 at the Xfinity Community Ice Rink in Everett. The event is for players ages 4-9. Protective gear will be provided free of charge by the EYH Booster Club. Participants should arrive 60 minutes early in order to check in and be issued gear. Lacrosse

Tennis
