TACOMA — The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s office says a 77-year-old woman who parked her pickup truck on train tracks in Puyallup Thursday killed herself.
The News Tribune reported that the woman died after a northbound commuter train struck her vehicle.
Police say the woman drove around crossing gates and stopped on the tracks at about 5:15 p.m.
She was the only one in the vehicle. No other injuries were reported.
The train was headed from Tacoma to Seattle.
