Arlington H&R Block employee recognized
Shelley Bennett of Arlington has been honored by H&R Block, along with other tax professionals and franchisees, with the company’s top national client service award. The Henry W. Bloch Award for Excellence in Client Service recognizes extraordinary efforts in client service, exceptional tax expertise and display of company values. Bennett has worked at H&R Block for 11 years.
UW Bothell to create ‘Responsible Business Executive’ program
The University of Washington Bothell School of Business will collaborate with the Carol Sanford Institute to create The Responsible Business Executive Education Program. The one-year certificate program is designed for growth-minded entrepreneurs and business executives. It is divided into three trimesters. Registration will begin in early October. Artists sought for City Center Apartments project
The Lynnwood Arts Commission and the City of Lynnwood have issued an open call to artists living in Washington and Oregon interested in a public art installation to be sited at the new City Center Apartments located across from the Lynnwood Convention Center. The Washington State Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues &Employment is seeking award nominations for employers who have made extra efforts to recruit, hire, promote and retain employees with disabilities. Nominations are due by Sept. 15.
