Beer lineup for this year’s Everett Craft Beer Festival

The fourth annual Everett Craft Beer Festival, which features 30 Washington breweries pouring more than 100 beers, starts at noon on Aug. 15 in downtown Everett.

This year’s theme is Randalls, which are double-chamber filters filled with fruit, coffee or other ingredients that connect to a tap. Breweries bringing Randalls include Boundary Bay Brewery (Centennial hops, cedar chips), Diamond Knot Brewing (Sorachi Ace hops), Postdoc Brewing (grapefruit zest, toasted coconut) and Whitewall Brewing (coffee, cocoa nibs, and cherries).

The festival will be on Hoyt Avenue between Hewitt and Everett avenues. Live music will be provided by Preacher’s Wife (1 p.m.), Lonely Mountain Lovers (3 p.m.) and Born of Ghosts (5 p.m.) and there will be food trucks.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door ($15 for military). Admission includes a commemorative tasting glass and six 5-ounces tasters. Additional tokens may be purchased at $2 each or four for $5, and Washington Beer Lover members receive two bonus tokens if they present their passports. Designated driver admission is $5 and available at the door only (includes free water/soda).

The festival is seeking volunteers, who will receive complimentary admission to the festival. Volunteer jobs may include pouring beer, ticket admission, token stuffing or working at the merchandise/WABL table. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email hayden@washingtonbeer.com.

Here’s a look at the beers pouring at this year’s Everett Craft Beer Festival:

192 Brewing Company, Kenmore

Shticky Blonde. Kolsch style ale brewed with wild honey from the foothills of Mount Rainier. 6.75 percent, 22 IBU.

Amber Rye. American Amber style with notable Rye character. Malty nose, hoppy finish. 5 percent, 45 IBU.

Shed Light Randalled. Very light Pilsen style beer with fruit and herb. TBD Randall finish.

Anacortes Brewery, Anacortes

Regal Lager. This Imperial Pilsner S.M.A.S.H. beer (single malt, single hop) is brewed with Alba malt from Skagit Valley Malting Co. and Saaz hops and features a slight residual malt flavor with good hop character. 8 percent, 40 IBU.

Whistle Lake Weizen. Our Hefeweizen is relatively dry, mildly hopped with Perle and Mount Hood varieties with a traditional Bavarian aroma and flavor. 4.6 percent, 18 IBU.

Broadsword Scottish Ale. This strong Scottish ale has robust malty flavors with subtle smokiness and a balanced bitterness from Perle, Cascade and Mount Hood hops. Broadsword is made with Black Patent, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich and Peat smoked malts for a dark color and rich flavor. 8.3 percent, 35 IBU.

Randalized India Pale Ale. Our award winning IPA emphasizes Northwest hop varieties and features significant hop flavor, bitterness and aroma from Columbus, Cascade and Simcoe. This Indonesian inspired version is infused with kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass. 6.1 percent, 118 IBU.

At Large Brewing, Marysville

I’d Tap That. This is our house favorite, due to its drinkability, Low malt notes with a crisp toasted finish. Cascade and centennial hops compliment this beer. 4.7 percent, 20.6 IBU.

Bonnie, At Large. This aggressively dry hopped light malt full flavored session with an outstanding aroma is a deceptive IPA masking as a Blonde. Featuring Mosaic hops as one of the many used. 4.8 percent, 19.6 IBU

Water Your Lawn Cream Ale. Randalled through Watermelon, the cream ale is an American classic. This light crafted beer, has lots of flavor with a crisp clean finish and when randalled through watermelon, it adds a very refreshing flavor. 4.2 percent, 19.3 IBU.

Bainbridge Brewing, Bainbridge Island

Eagle Harbor IPA. Eagle Harbor is our interpretation of a true Northwest IPA. Run through whole leaf Cascade hops in our hopback then generously dry-hopped with four different hops, Eagle Harbor presents a firm hoppiness supported by a pleasantly balanced malt backbone. Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, Amarillo, and Apollo. Malt: NW Pale, Light Crystal, Wheat, and Special Aromatic. 6 percent.

Kömmuter Kölsch. Kölsch-Style Ale. Brewed in honor of the rain-huddled masses whose daily commute revolves around the Washington State Ferries, Kommuter Kölsch is light, malty German-style ale brewed like a lager for maximum clarity and a bright, clean, refreshing taste. Victory to the Ferrytariat! Hops: Sterling. Malt: German Pilsner, Vienna, Carahell, and Saurermalz. 5 percent.

Downrigger Double IPA. Sink to our level with this alluringly hoppy Northwest Double IPA. Downrigger is big, bold, yet balanced, hitting just the right depth of flavor. Bainbridge Brewing: proudly trolling Bainbridge Island since 2012. Hops: Apollo, Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Falconer’s Flight 7C’s, and sometimes more. Malt: NW Pale, Special Aromatic, Wheat, and Premium Caramalt. 8 percent.

Black Raven Brewing Company, Redmond

Beaktweaker Citrus IPA. The BeakTweaker is Black Raven’s seasonal IPA release. Built on a firm base of barley and rye malts, the BeakTweaker features bold citrus flavors and aromatics. A firm bitterness combines with citrus hop characteristics accented by the addition of black lemon, orange peel and lemon peel. 6.5 percent.

Second Sight Scotch. Ravens in the Scottish Highlands were once thought to possess the gift of second sight, the ability to see future events before they occur. If you are a fan of rich, malty ales then our raven foresees you loving this beer. Second Sight is built all around the malted barley with hops playing a balancing role. This beer is reddish-brown in color with a wonderful malt nose, delicious malt flavors and a full bodied finish. 6.9 percent.

Boundary Bay Brewing, Bellingham

Cedar Dust. Randallized. Brewed with five varieties of big hops, all bred and grown in Washington state, Cedar Dust IPA has a distinctive herbal pine, citrus aroma. The addition of Mosaic hops, provide subtle blueberry undertones followed by a spicy, earth mouthfeel. Smooth and naturally carbonated, it has a unique blend of malts (including a secret dark malts!) which provide just enough backbone to balance it’s big hop character. This weekend taste a unique version of our Cedar Dust while it’s poured through a randall filled with Centennial hops and freshly cut Cedar Chips. 6.5 percent, 66 IBU.

Pilsner. Pilsner is one of the great lager beer styles from Europe, the cradle of modern beer civilization. Boundary Bay’s Bohemian-style Pilsner is a super-clean example of the style with subtle bitterness, plenty of noble-type hop aroma and flavor, and a classic pilsner-malt backbone. The beer is dry, crisp, and refreshing, with delightful spicy-floral hop character. A great Bohemain-style Pilsner truly is one of the finer things in life! Na Zdravi! 5 percent, 40 IBU.

Counterbalance Brewing Company, Seattle

Counterbalance IPA. Exhibits grapefruit and passionfruit, with a bit of cooling spruce on the finish. Grains: Pale, Crystal, Cara-Pils Hops: Columbus, Falconer’s Flight, Citra, and then a bunch more of each. 6.1 percent, 72 IBU.

Abigale Blonde Ale. Randall with Cascara (dried coffee cherries). Light citrus nose and flavor, crisp, champagne-like mouthfeel with a slightly sweet and refreshing finish. Grains: Pale, Munich, White Wheat Hops: Perle, Hallertauer. 5.2 percent, 30 IBU.

Kushetka Russian Imperial Stout. A big, bold Imperial stout bursting with roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Grains: Pale, Munich, Flaked Barley, Black Patent, Roasted Barley, Chocolate. Hops: Columbus, Willamette. 8.9 percent, 65 IBU.

Diamond Knot Brewing, Mukilteo

IPA with Sorachi Ace Randall. We are running our IPA through a Randall packed with full-cone Sorachi Ace hops. This Japanese hop yields a plethora of flavors ranging from lemon, dill, and cilantro, to bubble gum cotton candy. 6.2 percent, 40 IBU.

Cask Rye Knot w/ Citra. A slight spice note rounded out in secondary fermentation. Dry-hopping in-cask with Citra hops gives this beer a wonderful fruity character. Very refreshing! 7.1 percent, 50 IBU.

Tug Boad 50L. Brewed from the second running from our barleywine. 100 percent Maris Otter, single-hopped with Nobel hops. A very light, Pilsner-like ale with a complex sweetness up front, followed by a dry, crisp finish. 5.7 percent, 13 IBU.

Fog Bank 50L. Pours reddish amber in color with bright, crisp flavors and a complex malty body. 5.5 percent, 25 IBU.

Rotator (1/6 barrel). Hefeweizen, Scottish, XRed, XBrown, etc.

Elysian Brewing Company, Seattle

Night Owl Pumpkin Ale. Night Owl is brewed with over 7 pounds of pumpkin per barrel and includes seven different malt varieties, green and roasted pumpkin seeds, and pumpkin in the mash, boil and fermenter. Bittered with Magnum hops and spiced in conditioning with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger and allspice. 6.7 percent.

Dayglow IPA. This is a beer with the insistent beat of hops, as driving and inevitable as a Full Moon party in Haad Rin. It drips with tropical, sunshiny Mosaic, and twinkles with touches of Eldorado and Centennial. A touch of wheat hazes the malt bill a bit around the edges, and the IBUs are stuck in the mid-sixties. 6.4 percent.

Unite Red Ale: Black Raspberry Berliner Weisse. On March 8, 2015, the ladies of Elysian participated in an International Women’s Collaboration Brew day coordinated by the Pink Boots Society. There were some basic parameters to follow, but with a fair amount of poetic license. We hope you’ll enjoy our version — a light and tart berliner weisse brewed with black raspberries. 4.6 percent.

Flycaster Brewing Company, Kirkland

Parachute Porter. Porter randled through Chai Spices. 5 percent, 55 IBU.

Extra Oatmeal Pale Ale. Oatmeal Pale Ale brewed with a load of cascade hops. 5 percent, 25 IBU.

Fremont Brewing Company, Seattle

Gose German Style. Our take on the traditional German beer style from Leipzig — tart and refreshing with a hint of spice from the coriander and salt. 4 percent, 10 IBU.

The Brother Imperial IPA. Appropriately big, intimidating, and unbalanced with unrestrained quantities of hops for a head slap of beery ferociousness. Stone fruit, dank, and peppery on the nose with flavors of grapefruit and caramel throughout. 8.5 percent, “1 Billion” IBU

Session Pale. Made with Citra and Simcoe hops grown in Washington’s Yakima Valley, our Session Pale will enlighten your mind and make you a smarter and better looking person. Notes of pine, tropical fruit, and honey are complemented by lemon and fresh cut grass. 4.5 percent, 50 IBU.

Summer Ale. Tangerine flower in a glass, endless days distilled into nectar of barley and hops. One grain, one hop. Simplicity … yet, so much more. 5.2 percent, 45 IBU.

Summer Gimlet. Our Summer Ale infused with just the right amount of lime and basil. Pinky out. 5.2 percent, 45 IBU.

Interurban IPA. Interurban India Pale Ale offers the adventurous beer lover a warm embrace of roasted pale malt swirled with a hand-selected blend of flavor malts and filled with the rich spice of Chinook, Centennial, and Amarillo hops. 6.2 percent, 80 IBU.

Pina Colada IPA. If you like pina coladas, Interurban IPA … if you’re not into yoga, if you have half a brain … 6.2 percent, 80 IBU.

Rotating Taps: Bourbon Barrel-aged Dark Star, 11 percent, 50 IBU (noon), Bourbon Abominable, 11 percent, 65 IBU (2 p.m.), Bourbon Barrel-aged Dark Star through a Coffee Randall, 11 percent, 50 IBU (4 p.m.)

Gallaghers’ Where-U-Brew, Edmonds

Joes Madness IPA. A filling 6-percent IPA that has a pleasant pine bite, and a hint of tannins from French oak chips boiled into the brew.

Weak in the Knees Blonde. A smooth sessional blonde coming in at 5 percent, orange peel highlights complimented by Citra hops make the most of the Summer season.

Russian Imperial Stout. An aged stout brewed in the heart of last Winter. Don’t let the 8 percent sneak up on you.

Harmon Brewing, Tacoma

Orange Creamsicle Pale Ale. We use special german malted barley to round out the grain bill in this clean and crisp pale ale. Palisade and cascade hops provide a balanced finish. Whole madagascar vanilla beans and orange blend together creating a wonderfull creamsicle treat. 4.4 percent, 20 IBU.

One Hop Wonder IPA. This version of our one hop wonder series was brewed with cascade hops. 5 malted barleys make up the grain bill creating an exciting medium bodied IPA with a little sweetness. And all cascade all the time for this IPA 4 kettle additions showcase one of the most classic hops of all time. 7.3 percent, 75 IBU.

Puget Sound Vanilla Porter. Puget sound porter is brewed with eight different malted barleys to produce a smooth, well balanced dark beer. A special roasted barley &chocolate wheat provide big flavors of chocolate and coffee. This version is aged on whole madigascar vanilla beans for an extra smooth finish. 5.4 percent, 20 IBU.

Hellbent Brewing Company. Seattle

IPA. A copper-colored, super hop-infused ale with citrus, pungent pine and tropical fruit aromas. Hopped with Simcoe, Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo hops. 6.5 percent, 69 IBU.

Orange is the new White. We brew our imperial version of the classic Belgian Wit with malted wheat, raw wheat, and pale malt, which give it a cloudy, golden hue. Orange peel and coriander seed compliment the Belgian yeast and provide a spicy, citrusy finish. 6.5 percent, 20 IBU.

Randalled Belgian Wit. Belgian Wit poured through Randall of Candied ginger and orange peel.

Hilliard’s Beer, Seattle

Suffering Bastard Saison. Saison aged 16 months in Bourbon Barrels that previously aged Gin. 7.6 percent.

Extra Special Belgian. ESB made with Saison yeast. 7.3 percent.

In the Shadow Brewing, Arlington

ITS IPA. A nice light to moderate bodied beer, with a well balanced malt backbone to compliment the citrus character and high bitterness. 6.8 percent, 80 IBU.

ITS HBL (Honey Basil Lemon). We start with a blonde ale, include some basil and lemon during the brew, then add some locally sourced honey at the end for a touch of sweetness. The result is a light and tasty summer delight. 5.0 percent, 13 IBU.

ITS Amber. A dark amber color that pushes the style envelope with deep toasted malt characters, medium hop aroma, and earthy floral flavor notes. 5.6 percent, 37 IBU.

Island Hoppin Brewery, Eastsound

Elwha Rock IPA. Floral, citrus, and earthy with a crisp finish. Named in honor of the captain who — while trying to impress a woman — ran the Elwha ferry aground near Orcas Island. Hop forward, using chinook, centennial, and zeus hops, this bright and zippy beer still crashes into a grounded, earthy body. 6.3 percent, 100 IBU.

Old Madrona Imperial Red Ale. A full malt and hop body for an exceptionally smooth strong ale. Ruby red color reminiscent of Madrona Bark. Boozy dried fruit aromas lead the way to a palate of a strong, sweet, and malty beer that is dangerously shippable. Full, very round mouthfeel, brightened up by the zythos hops. Boozy, delicious, and a nice sipper but not to be messed with. 8.5 percent, 80 IBU.

Kulshan Brewing, Bellingham

Full 90 Session Ale. Omnipresent hop aromas of citrus and herbal notes dance before you and envelop your senses. As the wind is not seen but its bellows fill your sails, lift your kites, and the swirling caress is felt upon your face. So too are the hops of this ale, bold and delicate, as a loving embrace. 4.2 percent, 45 IBU.

Bastard Kat IPA. Brewed with passion and precision, Bastard Kat is an American-style West Coast IPA with a prolific full-hop flavor and aroma predicated upon the citrus notes of the Cascade Hop. Brewed for your next adventure. 6.66 percent, 70 IBU.

Hoppy Bitch. This Northwest IPA is bold and balanced, with a rich malty flavor and strong hop presence. We use premium 2-Row, Crystal, Munich and Victory malts to create the perfect base for showcasing Yakima-grown Columbus hops. 6.3 percent, 65 IBU.

Mango Weizen. Mango-Weizen is an unfiltered Wheat beer that has components of both American and Bavarian styles. Fresh Mango puree is added during cold conditioning which creates a subtle flavor in the background and keeps this beer from not being too sweet. Pairs well with BBQ. 5.3 percent, 15 IBU.

Three Skulls Blood Orange Wit. Blood Orange Wit is a true Belgian-style White beer brewed with German wheat and Pilsner malt along with rolled oats for a palette-filling experience while still being refreshing. Banana, spice, and citrus notes come from a strongly flavored Belgian yeast strain, two different types of orange peel, and hand crushed coriander. 5.5 percent, 35 IBU.

Pike Brewing Company, Seattle

Pike Kilt Lifter. Sweet, malty, smoky. 6.5 percent.

Pike IPA. Aromatic herbal hop character. 6.3 percent.

Pike Derby Lager. Light, lager-style beer. 5.0 percent.

Pike Monks Uncle. Full bodied and complex. 9.0 percent.

Postdoc Brewing Company, Redmond

Alpha Factor IPA. Our flagship IPA, this beer is stuffed full of piney and citrusy hops, just the way we like it. Alpha factor is a yeast mating pheromone, and without yeast, we wouldn’t have beer! Clean fermentation characteristics and light malt flavor help the hops shine their brightest, with a clean, lasting bitterness to finish. 6.8 percent, 63 IBU.

Prereq Pale Ale. Easy drinking and light, this beer has a citrusy hop profile and a slightly malty backbone. A welcome refreshment at the end of a long (or short) day, it is the quintessential American pale ale. 5.7 percent, 36 IBU.

Grapefruit Summer Kölsch. This refreshing radler-style ale pours a hazy pinkish-orange, due to the generous addition of organic grapefruit juice to the Kölsch-style base beer. Crisp and tangy with a bright citrus aroma and flavor and a light grapefruit bitterness. A harmonious combination with a finish so thirst-quenching it’s hard to have just one. 3.8 percent, 20 IBU

Grapefruit Summer Kölsch w/ Grapefruit Zest and Toasted Coconut Randall. Our Grapefruit Summer Kölsch with be infused with fresh grapefruit zest and toasted coconut. ABV 3.8 percent, 20 IBU.

Schooner EXACT, Seattle

Berliner Weisse. Tart and refreshing, the kettle sour is crafted in the style of a classic Berliner Weisse. Honey cereal and slight floral notes on the nose transitions into a pleasant burst of acidity in the mouth followed by lingering dry malt finish. Bright and delicious just as it was brewed or temper the sour with the addition of house-made flavored syrups. 3.2 percent, 20 IBU.

Hopvine IPA. Brewed in a post-modern Northwest IPA fashion, this beer’s lightly-sweet malt base balances the Chinook &Columbus hops and huge late additions of Citra hops for flavor and aroma. Full of flavor, this beer is like drinking straight off the hopvine. 6.1 percent, 60 IBU.

Scuttlebutt Brewing, Everett

Jalapeno 777. An interesting pairing, this beer isn’t a burner it’s surprisingly refreshing and drinkable. The broad pungent flavor of the peppers ally beautifully with the delicate white pear and clove flavors present in the Tripel 7. Many describe this more like drinking food than beer. 9 percent, 10 IBU.

Bierre de Garde. This French Farmhouse Ale is a beer all can enjoy. Similar to an Amber Ale but fermented with with the same farmhouse yeast used in the Saison. Spicy floral notes complement the caramel flavors present from the crystal malt. In something of a unique twist, this beer was aged in barrels for a few months giving it an oak flavor as well. 5.2 percent, 36 IBU.

Cinco Piratas Red Lager. It’s a hop forward lager not overly aggressive, think of a classic west coast Pale Ale combined with the soft notes of a German style lager. It will pair well with a summer day and the music. 5 percent, 44 IBU.

Silver City Brewery, Bremerton

Ridgetop Red Ale. There’s a beer for everyone. Ridgetop Red is everyone’s beer. Full-bodied and smooth with a sweet caramel flavor balanced with Northwest Liberty hops for a refreshing finish. 6 percent, 15 IBU

Fat Scotch Ale. A big bastard of an award winning brew. Exceptionally smooth with rich maltiness and a touch of smoky peat character. 9.2 percent, 30 IBU.

Saint Florian IPA with Tropical Fruit Randall. Benefiting Washington State Fire Fighters. Saint Florian is a balanced IPA that uses Washington grown Cascade and Columbus hops that are boldly citrus, floral and piney. 7.3 percent, 55 IBU.

Ziggy Zoggy Summer Lager. Bright and vibrant beer for summertime celebrations! This Zwicklerbier, an uncommon style, is an unfiltered lager that balances crisp and elegant honey-like malt flavor with assertive, classic German hop character. 5 percent, 40 IBU.

Sound to Summit, Snohomish

Kiteboard Kolsch. A light colored beer, Kolsch is light bodied and brilliantly clear with a crisp flavor and fruity undertones imported from German noble hops.

6 Gill IPA. Named after the largest shark in Puget Sound this India Pale Ale is a big beer with a little bite. aromatic American hops lend a citrus and tropical fruit character to the nose while the amount back phone is balanced with a lingering bitterness on the back of the tongue.

Sumerian Brewing, Woodinville

ISA. This easy drinking session ale is light on the malt, but still heavy on the hops. Cascade, Summit and Citra hops contribute to the crisp, clean finish with notable citrus notes. 4.9 percent, 50 IBU.

Pale Ale. With a nod to its English cousin, this American style Pale Ale is malt driven balanced by American hops. Subtle caramel notes with mild fruity esters lead to a full and round mouth feel. 5.6 percent, 38 IBU.

Narcissism IPA. Hop driven West Coast Style IPA. A combination of seven hops contribute to the dense, dank, piney aromatics with hints of pineapple and citrus peel peeking through on the finish. Balanced out with a mild grain bill, this IPA is one we are proud to call our own. 6.5 percent, 56 IBU.

Pilchuck Pilsner. One of our most traditional beers, Pilchuck is a Czech-style pilsner, hopped with Saaz and Perle hops. With a lightly sweet aroma and mild hop spiciness on the tongue, this is a refreshing take on an old style.

Day Hike Summer Session Ale. Kicking things off with an effervescent aroma of lemon zest, this summer session ale is light and crisp, perfect for a summer day. With hints of grass and lemon on a palate, this well balanced beer is extremely refreshing, leaving flavors of citrus and grass after every sip before finishing clean.

Evo IPA. Evo is a showcase Northwest IPA, hopped with Yakima Valley Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial, then aggressively dry-hopped with Simcoe and Columbus. Deep copper in color, it boasts a deep floral aroma with strong notes of grapefruit and tangerine citrus on the palate.

Whiskey Ridge Brewing, Arlington

Dead Dog Rising. This close cousin of our Tarheel Stomp Oatmeal Stout has Star Anise added in the secondary to enhance the chocolate coffee flavors while creating a smooth and creamy licorice finish. Perfect any time of year, but most especially during October when the Dead do Rise! 5.5 percent.

Clear Creek Kolsch. Clean and simple. Kolsch is a favorite of those who love lagers! Unlike a lager it is brewed at ale temperatures so it features a full bodied and complex flavor palette. Notable grapefruit flavors produce an enjoyable crisp clean finish. 6 percent.

Whitewall Brewing, Marysville

Truck Nuts Porter–Randall with coffee, cocoa nibs, and cherries. A robust porter with hints of coffee and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Slightly roasty, clean finishing beer. Northern Brewer, Fuggles and Perle Hops are used for bittering and flavor. A mix of English Malts and American Malts are used in this beer. 6.0 percent, 27 IBU.

Whitewall IPA. Our newly developed IPA. This beer is so new, it isn’t even on tap at the tasting room. It will debut at this Festival. This IPA uses Warrior Hop extract for bittering. We then add copious amounts of Azzaca and Saaz hops throughout the boil, and in dry hop for a very complex flavor and aroma. Notes of tropical fruit, citrus, and piney aromas. 6.6 percent, 70 IBU.
