EVERETT — The Snohomish County Elections Division is looking for people to help write pro and con statements for local ballot measures headed to voters this fall.
The statements will appear in the voters’ pamphlet for the Nov. 3 general election. To serve on a pro or con committee, contact the county auditor’s office by Tuesday at 425-388-3321 or elections@snoco.org.
Issues include: a proposal to switch Granite Falls to a council-manager form of government; an advisory vote in Marysville on prohibiting fireworks; a levy lid lift in Stanwood for fire and EMS services; bonds to pay for a fire engine, a firefighter training facility and a new fire station in Snohomish County Fire District No. 26, which serves Gold Bar; a permanent property tax levy to support the North County Regional Fire Authority; and a proposal to raise sales tax to support Community Transit operations.
