SEATTLE — A Mukilteo man remained hospitalized Monday after crashing his motorcycle near Darrington last week.
The 70-year-old was westbound Friday on Highway 530, between Darrington and Rockport, when the vehicle ahead of him slowed down to make a turn, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.
The man swerved to avoid a collision and lost control. That happened around noon. He was taken from the scene in a medical helicopter.
He was listed Monday in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Police said the crash likely was caused by following too closely.
