VANCOUVER — The Everett AquaSox rallied to score two runs in the top of the ninth inning and beat the Vancouver Canadians 4-2 in a Northwest League baseball game Monday night at Nat Bailey Stadium.
The AquaSox’s Ryan Uhl tied the score at 2-2 in the eighth inning with his third home run of the season. Uhl was 2-for-3 with a run and and an RBI.
A two-out RBI single by the AquaSox’s Arturo Nieto with two outs in the ninth broke the tie and another run scored on a throwing error.
AquaSox shortstop Drew Jackson had three hits in four at bats, raising his average to league-leading .392.
In addition to Uhl, Braden Bishop and Nieto had two hits for the AquaSox.
Everett’s Joseph Pistorese, the third pitcher the AquaSox used in the game, pitched two hitless shutout innings, striking out two as he lowered his earned run average to 1.93 and improved his record to 5-0.
