The Washington state Legislature has been held in contempt of court for failure to do its job. There have been no consequences. When there are no consequences, kids, drivers and criminals don’t need to worry about paying the price and do what ever they want. I suggest that the Legislature pay the price for their failure to do their job and in the allotted time. The court should fine them the amount they make in extra sessions and maybe even tack on some for their undeserved raise. Most people get paid based on performance. Seems they say this about teachers? Maybe next session they will get their work done in the allotted time and follow the direction they are given by mandate.
