PUYALLUP — Police are looking for a Puyallup woman whose newborn baby might need medical attention.
KOMO-TV reported that Puyallup police say Myra Maria Aguilar gave birth at home Sunday without medical personnel present. They believe the baby is in “imminent harm.”
Capt. Scott Engle says Aguilar has a history of drug abuse and the baby could be suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
A Pierce County judge has issued an order to take the baby, named Jeshua Taylor, into custody. Engle says two of Aguilar’s children are already in protective custody.
Police say Aguilar and the baby may be with a man named Levi Jerome Taylor. According to police, Taylor is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender, assault and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
