I’m responding to the letter regarding Planned Parenthood by Michael Molly. (“Can’t go back to denying rights.”) Thank you for getting to the bottom of this issue. Planned Parenthood does so much more than abortions; yet that’s all some people focus on and complain about. Planned Parenthood helped me out when I was younger with sexual health problems and I’ll never forget the kindness shown to me. Sometimes young adults get into trouble, it doesn’t necessarily mean being pregnant, and Planned Parenthood is a place to go for answers, help and care.
Instead of complaining about abortion, why not focus on the numerous children that are already here and need help — foster kids, abused kids, aggressive kids, disabled kids, drug-addicted kids and kids with mental disabilities. Why not create an organization and concentrate efforts that ensure all unwanted live children have a good place to call home. Focus on where you can make a difference.
