EDMONDS — Police continue to investigate an attempted shooting in Edmonds over the weekend. No one was hurt. New surveillance video was released on Tuesday, asking the public for help identifying the shooter.
At least four shots were fired, Edmonds police Sgt. Shane Hawley said. It happened about 3 a.m. Saturday in the 24000 block of Edmonds Way.
Investigators believe the suspects had stolen a man’s wallet in Shoreline. The man followed them in a car to get it back.
The video shows the suspects’ car, a maroon sedan, pull over. The driver gets out, raises his arm to shoot and then runs after the victim’s car, which takes off.
The shooter appeared to be a black man with a medium build. Two women with him are accused of the initial theft. One was described as white, about 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds. The other was described as black, about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. She appeared to be in her 20s and wore a nose ring.
