EVERETT — City work crews will close the intersection of Broadway and California Avenue starting Monday as part of its ongoing Broadway Bridge replacement project.
The closures will be around the clock starting at 6 a.m. Monday. Signs will be posted and southbound traffic on Broadway will have to detour onto Everett Avenue to avoid the work zone.
Businesses west and east of the intersection will be accessible from Lombard and McDougall avenues, respectively.
During the closure, the roadway will be raised to the level of the new bridge and then paved. The work is expected to take four to six weeks.
