Help Mukilteo fire victims
Online fundraisers have been set up for two families whose homes were destroyed in an Aug. 5 fire on 110th Place SW in Harbour Pointe.
Separate accounts have been set up for the Nelson and Kornegay families, but both can be reached through www.gofundme.com/u3h6w82a.
Monroe to distribute tourism money: The city of Monroe is accepting applications for the 2016 Lodging Tax Fund grants. Projects and activities that take place in 2016 are eligible. People or groups that will use the money to promote tourism and the economic benefit of visitors to Monroe can apply. By law, the money must pay for tourism promotion.
Applications are available online at monroewa.gov/LTAC or may be picked up at City Hall, 806 W Main St. They are due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 18.

Snohomish services to be slowed: People should expect limited city services and slow processing times while the city of Snohomish updates its computer software. The work is scheduled from Thursday through Sept. 7.
During some of that time, city permit and financial computer systems will be unavailable.
The Planning and Development Services counter will be closed for two days near the end of the updates.
Full services are expected to be resume by Sept. 14.
