Sew: Volunteers needed to make blankets
The Binky Patrol is a group of quilters, knitters and crocheters who make “binkies” for children in traumatic situations. They get together and make blankets, afghans, quilts, baby hats and booties, which then go to hospitals, clinics and group homes.
Several volunteers have moved or died in the last year and the group is seeking new help. Donations of fabric, yarn or thread also are welcome. The group meets next Aug. 30 in Marysville. The group typically meets the first Sunday of each month; after Aug. 30, the next meeting will be Oct. 1.
