YAKIMA — A man escaped from custody in Yakima County on Tuesday morning.
Daniel James Williams, of Yakima, was in jail after being sentenced for trafficking in stolen property and possessing a stolen motor vehicle. He escaped while working outside the jail.
County officials say the 19-year-old is a low risk inmate who was wearing a jail jumpsuit when he escaped.
He would have been eligible for release from jail Sept. 12.
