CAPE FLATTERY — The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a missing diver near Cape Flattery.
Crews began searching for Lynn Flaherty, 61, after she was reported missing on Tuesday morning off Duncan Rock. She was diving with her husband and they were scheduled to resurface together.
The search was suspended around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after Coast Guard crews conducted 24 searches over more than 30 hours across more than 290 square miles.
Flaherty is an experienced diver who was wearing a dry suit and is equipped with a personal locator beacon and a radio.
Coast Guard officials said they could resume an active search if credible information is received regarding the missing person’s whereabouts.
