Too bad that after 58 years going to that beach for the same reasons as David Alcorta, plus many more memories, now they want me to pay. (Letter, “Parking meters ruin beloved spot.”) That waterfront from Mukilteo to Snohomish River has been my stomping grounds since childhood. That beach was the very first saltwater beach I ever saw after moving from Kansas in 1957.
I remember all that was mentioned about the beloved spot.
But now there’s nowhere to do those things without paying somebody something. Come on, Mukilteo, won’t you be our neighbor, let me park there too.
I won’t litter.
